Every day, businesses need people to edit videos, design graphics, manage social media, answer customers, keep records, do research, run ads and handle dozens of other important tasks. Join this free live training and learn how you can build a business around helping them — what you can offer, how to turn it into a service, where to find businesses that may need it, and what to say when you find them.
Free educational training. This is not a job offer. We don't guarantee clients, contracts or income.
Think about almost any business you know. Someone has to design the graphics. Edit the videos. Respond to customers. Manage the social media pages. Write the emails. Keep the books. Do the research. Run the ads.
Sometimes a business hires an employee to do these things. Other times, they pay an independent person or company to handle them. That's essentially what a service-based business is — you find something useful you can do for a business, you turn it into a service, and you build a business around providing that service. Simple. But then come the questions.
That's what we're breaking down in the free training.
People from different backgrounds have gone through Profitable Freelancing Academy. Some already had skills. Some were learning. Others were still figuring out where to start. We'll let them tell you about their experiences themselves.
Zainab Lawal — Her journey through PFA
Odinaka Ibe — What changed after the program
Ebunoluwa — Her experience after joining PFA
These are individual experiences. Results are not guaranteed or necessarily typical. Outcomes vary based on factors including skill, effort, experience, execution and market conditions.
Messiah lost his mother while he was still in secondary school, and university was no longer an option. So he had to figure out another path.
That eventually brought him online, where he learned how to develop useful skills, turn them into services, find businesses that needed help and communicate what he could do. There were mistakes. Failed attempts. And plenty he had to figure out along the way.
Eventually, he built his own service business and began working with businesses in different markets.
Those experiences eventually helped lead to Profitable Freelancing Academy, which has since taught these same principles to many learners across Africa — including Zainab, Odinaka and Ebunoluwa.
Now, Messiah is going to break down what he's learned for you — in plain English, step by step.
Wherever you're starting from, the goal of this training is simple: to help you understand how this business actually works.
A quick note before you go: this live session has limited registration capacity. If you're reading this, spots are still open. Register now and pick the session time that works for you.
Tomorrow morning, businesses will still need things done — videos edited, customers answered, graphics designed, books kept, websites managed, content created. Somebody will have to do that work.
You don't need to own their business to build a business helping them.
It's completely free to attend.
